3 Steps for Turning Your Database Into Your Relationship-Base

You can turn your database into a relationship-base in three simple steps.

If you’re in the real estate business, you’ll hear the word ‘database’ frequently used. Your database is critical to keeping your business going, but it’s more than just a list of names with contact information. Today I’ll walk you through the steps of turning your database into a relationship-base:

1. Separate all your “A” contacts. These are the people who know, like, and trust you and are most likely going to refer you in the future. The reason to separate them from the rest is, essentially, that if you can’t find them, you won’t focus on them. There needs to be an easy way for you to access this group of contacts whenever you need to.

2. Create a year-long schedule for how you’ll take care of your “A” contacts. This can be a system of multiple ways to stay in touch with and nurture these contacts, including handwritten notes, quarterly check-ins, pop by’s, one-on-one lunches, client events, and more.

3. Reward your top referrers. To do this, you’ll need to track who sends you referrals so that you can give them special treatment and show your appreciation for them. This could be a special VIP client party or a gift of some sort. The possibilities are endless.
